ACKapture

Hello! My name is Alexa Kitay. I am 21 years old and a student at the University of Delaware, studying psychology and human development.

I began horseback riding at 8 years old and it has stuck with me every since. Horses have helped me through multiple stages of life and I am so passionate about riding, bonding, and learning with them. I own a gray mare named Vera Wang, but I created ACKapture when I had my gray gelding, Tommy (pictured above). I also ride on the University of Delaware Equestrian Team, where I feel so at home. I began to take up photographer in 2020, just as a small covid hobby, but my interest and skill grew. After lots of practice, exploration, and even classes, I began ACKapture to share my passion with others.

In addition to horses, I am a very passionate mental health advocate. Like everybody, I have a story. I have worked hard to be who I am today and my purpose in life is to be the person for others who I needed but never had. In my photography work, I love capturing love, bonds, laughter, and the moments that make your heart melt.
